QUIANNA BENNETT

Founder

At Ithaca College, Quianna found herself embarking on a journey that intertwined her passion for fostering inclusive narratives and learning about the legal system. Yet, it wasn’t until she ventured to Berkeley, CA, working at Seeds Community Resolution Center where she was exposed to the true magic of alternative dispute resolution processes. It was here that she experienced both being situated within a school as a Restorative Justice Coordinator and eventually transiting to lead a team of dedicated Restorative Justice Coordinators, crafting district-wide strategies that reshaped k-12 services and championed equitable treatment for all.

Her path continued at Mediation Matters in where she took on new challenges and supported the organization’s evolution of school partnerships. She passionately contributed to the strategic planning process, organization restructuring, and continued conflict resolution support of 6 capital region counties. Her experience within the 6 counties continued to highlight the need for conflict resolution practices across industries. She encouraged the learning of processes such as conflict coaching mediation across private companies, school systems, non-profits, and more.

This urge to spread conflict resolution into the fabric of our modern day work environments led her to infuse a restorative framework into her role as The Director of Culture at Gumbo Media. She was able to craft strategies that go beyond recruitment processes and delve into the heart of internal communications, performance assessments, and the very essence of organizational culture. All from a restorative lens that encouraged normalizing the spectrum of conflict resolution policies.

Now as she takes on her own conflict resolution practice, her journey has been and continues to be more than a collection of titles; it's a testament to her commitment to transformative leadership, conflict resolution, and inclusion. Through workshops, training, direct services, and experiential opportunities she continues to push towards empowering all with conflict resolution support.
